As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited (JMPL) successfully organized the 3rd batch of month-long Computer Training Program for Skill Development. The training program was held from 08 July 2025 at Protaper Char Government Primary School, Sonargaon, Narayanganj. The initiative was designed to empower the local youth, with two main categories of participants: The seekers young male and female between ages 18 and 28. At the closing ceremony, JMPL’s Plant Manager distributed certificates to the trainees who successfully completed the training program, recognizing their dedication and achievement.
The Project will be developed on the 35 acres land at the Meghnaghat Complex of BPDB provided to the Company on a long-term lease under the Land Lease Agreement. The power generated by the Project will be evacuated through the existing 400 kV network of Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB). The Company has secured all necessary approvals and permits and will be commencing construction of the Project shortly.
