Takao Onuki has been successfully carrying out overseas electric power business in Tokyo Electric Power Company and later JERA for over 20 years by utilizing his splendid knowledge and experience. He had made a great contribution to the development of international IPP projects as well as the acquisitions of the international power assets in Asia.
As part of his career, Takao Onuki was working as Team Energy’s EVP (Finance) and CFO from 2007 to 2011 in the Philippines. Currently, Takao Onuki is concurrently assuming the position of SVP, Business Development of JERA Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore with an additional charge of Chief Financial Officer at JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited.
The Project will be developed on the 35 acres land at the Meghnaghat Complex of BPDB provided to the Company on a long-term lease under the Land Lease Agreement. The power generated by the Project will be evacuated through the existing 400 kV network of Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB). The Company has secured all necessary approvals and permits and will be commencing construction of the Project shortly.
JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited (the “Company”) is a 100% foreign-owned company incorporated in Bangladesh for setting up a 718 MW (net) gas fired combined cycle power project at Meghnaghat, Narayanganj.
