Yasunori (Yasu) Katsumata is Chief Executive Office of JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited. As a holder of Master degree in law, his career has been profound such as legal, contract and compliance, business development and liaison, asset management and finance/accounting. His overseas experience includes an external Board member of Vietnam’s Mekong Energy Limited (Phu-My 2.2 CCGT project) and the expatriations to Thailand as SVP Business Development International in Electric Generating Company Limited (EGCO), then to the United States as General Manager Renewables in JERA Americas Inc.
Since Yasu joined JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited in August 2024, he has been covering all non-technical departments in JMPL.

The Project will be developed on the 35 acres land at the Meghnaghat Complex of BPDB provided to the Company on a long-term lease under the Land Lease Agreement. The power generated by the Project will be evacuated through the existing 400 kV network of Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB). The Company has secured all necessary approvals and permits and will be commencing construction of the Project shortly.
JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited (the “Company”) is a 100% foreign-owned company incorporated in Bangladesh for setting up a 718 MW (net) gas fired combined cycle power project at Meghnaghat, Narayanganj.
